Battlefield Golf Club became the home course for the Berea College Golf team in the spring of 2012. The course was built upon the site where the Battle of Richmond took place during the Civil War and is widely recognized as "the single most decisive victory for the Confederate Army during the entire war. The Palmer House, which served as the hospital for Union and Confederate soldiers alike, is just one of the historical artifacts that rests on the property and now serves as the clubhouse for the golf club." The semi-private club is located minutes from the Berea College campus. The layout features Bermuda grass tees and fairways, bent grass greens and approach areas, with a rough that is a mixture of Kentucky bluegrass and fescue. The course plays 6313 yards from the back tees. Battlefield Golf Club is owned by the Madison County Fiscal Court and is taken care of by Course Superintendent Tony Kidd.
To aid members of the golf team in practice during winter months or inclement weather, the athletic department opened an indoor golf center during the 2015-16 academic year. The golf center is located on the third floor of the Seabury Center and features a TRUGolf Technique Professional golf simulator. Plans are underway to add a custom Birdie Ball putting green within the golf center in 2016-17, as well as personal lockers for team members.

From the North:
From I-75, take the southernmost Richmond exit (exit 83 - Duncannon Lane) and make a left off the ramp onto Duncannon Lane. You will travel on Duncannon Lane for approximately 3.5 miles. At the intersection of Duncannon and US 25 S, you will turn right onto US 25 S and travel approximately 2 miles before making a left onto General Nelson Drive. Your first right will then be onto General Cruft Drive. The clubhouse will be on your right and the parking lot for the golf course will be on your left. The number to the Pro Shop is 859.624.8005.
From the South:
From I-75, take the north Berea exit (exit 77) and make a right off the ramp onto KY 595 (Walnut Meadow Pike). At the intersection of the Berea by-pass, stay straight to go onto KY 956 E for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto Richmond Road (US 25 N) and follow 5.1 miles. You will make a right onto General Nelson Drive and then the first right onto General Cruft Drive. The clubhouse will be on your right and the parking lot for the golf course will be on your left.
