Strength & Conditioning

Mission

The Berea College Mountaineers Strength & Conditioning department is committed to provide a well-designed training program based on our athletes and team needs.

Using experimentally proven methods, a safe and productive training facility our student-athletes will maximize their athletic capabilities developing self-discipline, team work, leadership, work ethic and mental toughness. Our primary emphasis is to maximize the genetic potential of the student athlete population while supporting the academic mission of Berea College.

Training Philosophy

Focusing on our four pillars (Injury Prevention, Performance Enhancement, Rehabilitation, and Mental Toughness) by means of a periodic plan we develop and implement programs that vary exercise selection, intensity, frequency, and duration to maximize the athlete's potential.
