Montgomery, AL- The Berea College Baseball team faced Sewanee University of the South in the 2nd game of the Firehouse Classic in Montgomery, AL. Junior, Aaron Duncan, got the start in his 2019 debut. The squad came out on the losing end 8-0.

Berea had a better day at the plate than last night, but the pitching struggled as the game progressed. In the first inning, Sewanee hit a 2-run homerun, and the Mountaineers could never recover from it. The Mountaineers had trouble moving runners on the bases nor manufacture anything offensively.

Berea's Nick Bottom went 2-3, and Cam Dacci came in to get a base hit with his only at-bat. T. C. Eads, Josh Wilson, and E. J. Mohr each also produced hits in the contest.

Berea will seek to finish the Firehouse Classic with a victory against Guilford College tomorrow. The contest will take place at 1:00 ET, and 12:00 CT.
