Patrick Elzinga joins the coaching staff to serve as the Assistant Coach, with emphasis on player development of the pitching staff. He has previous experience working with the Grand Rapids Flames, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Elzinga is a former collegiate pitcher. Raised in West Michigan, he started his career at Lake Michigan College, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. LMC is a member of the NJCAA, therefore, upon the completion of his Sophomore year and obtaining his Associate’s degree, Patrick transferred to Berea College to further his education and utilize his remaining eligibility. While at Berea, he majored in Political Science and graduated in August of 2015. He is currently in the second year of a Master’s of Public Administration program at Eastern Kentucky University.

Elzinga hopes that his passion for baseball will allow for the staff to experience much success.
