Berea Defeats Greensboro in Overtime

Berea, KY- The men's basketball team welcomed Greensboro College to the Seabury Center on January 13, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. for their sixth home game this season.  The team ended regulation tied and went into overtime. In the end the Mountaineers defeated Greensboro with a final score of 91-82.  The Mountaineers overall record for this season is now 4-9.

At half time Berea and Greensboro were tied at 32-32. Torell Carter led the first half with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Deandre Lightfoot also added 6 points in the first half as well.  Berea shot 48 percent from the field and committed 12 turnovers in the first half.

The Mountaineers battled throughout the second half and carried the game into overtime with a tie score of 75-75. In overtime Berea took control to grab the 91-82 win.  Overall, Berea shot 48% percent in free-throws. Torell Carter led the Mountaineers with a total of 24 points, 9 assists and 10 rebounds. Terique Miller also led with a total of 19 points, 2 assists and 5 rebounds. 

On January the 14th the Mountaineers will be playing Methodist at home at 2:00 P.M.
