Mountaineers Fall on the Road to Piedmont

Demorest, GA- The men's basketball team hit the road to take on USA South Conference member Piedmont.  The Lions rallied in the second half to beat Berea by a score of 73-61.  This loss brings Berea's record to 6-12 overall and 3-8 in conference play. 

Travis Hadyn-Roe led Berea in the first half with 12 points followed by Dyonta Bizzle-Brown with 10.  Berea headed to the locker room with a  37-34 lead over the Lions.  The Mountaineers shot 46.4% from the field in the first half.

The Lions rallied in the second half and outscored Berea 39-24 defeating the Mountaineers 73-61.  Berea was led by Torell Carter with 17 points.  Two other Mountaineers had two other players score double-digits with Travis Hadyn Roe dropping 14 and Dyonta Bizzle-Brown with 10. 

The Mountaineers travel to Johnson University on Tuesday, January 30th.  This is the second time Berea has faced Johnson this year.  In their first meeting Berea won 97-91.  Tip-off for this game is scheduled for 7:00pm.
