Mountaineers Drop Home Game Against Maryville

Berea, KY- The Berea College men's basketball team continued their home stand this afternoon to take on the Maryville College Scots. The Mountaineers could not overcome the athleticism of the Scots and lost 94-65. This brings the Mountaineers record to 7-14 overall and 3-10 in conference play. They are 6-5 at home.

Berea shot 44% from the field and 43% from the line, and pulled down 12 rebounds in the first half. The Mountaineers headed into the half down 51-37. The Scots carried their lead into the second half, outscoring the Mountaineers 43-28, which led to the final score of 94-65.

Berea was led in points scored by # 24, Travis Hadyn Roe with 20 points. Travis also had 4 rebounds along with #33 Mitchell Embree, # 40 Gabe Hinton, and 44 Alex Aten.

Come out and support your Mountaineers next weekend as Berea will be back in action at home on Saturday, February 17th at 2:00pm taking on conference member Lagrange College.
