Mountaineers Extend Win Streak to Four

Berea, KY- The men's basketball team hosted Johnson University at the Seabury Center on Monday evening. The Mountaineers continued their winning streak after a 104-95 win over the Royals. This win brough the Mountaineers season record to 4-0.

Berea was able to come back to gain the lead in the first half and continued this trend throughout the second half. Torell Carter lead the Mountaineers with 38 points followed by Isaac Caudill who contributed 23 points. Deandre Lightfoot led the Mountaineers in rebounds with 8.

The Mountaineers were down 23-12 around the 12-minute mark of the first half. By the 5-minute mark the Mountaineers had fought their way back to gain the lead 29-31 against the Royals. At the half Berea was leading Johnson University 46-38. The Mountaineers shot 48.5 percent from the field during the first half.

Berea was able to maintain the lead for the entire second half over the Royals. The Mountaineers ended up winning which made them continue their winning streak to four games.

 

Austin Glasgow had 16 points for the Mountaineers while Dakota Mays had 10.

 

The men will be travelling to Spalding University on Wednesday the 21st to take on the Eagles. The start time will be at 7:00pm.
