Brevard, NC. – The Berea College men's basketball team have now won two straight games and three of their last four with a 78-64 win on Wednesday over the Brevard College Tornados. Sophomore Torell Carter had a monster game, leading all scorers with 28 points and 8 rebounds.

Thanks to the 21 first half points by Torell Carter, the Mountaineers got things rolling early and jumped out to a 9-0 lead over the Tornados. Berea shot over 50 percent from the field which allowed them to pull ahead as many as 13 points during the first half. A late run by the Tornados kept the score close and cut the Mountaineers lead to 39-34 going into halftime.

Brevard started the second half with another run and attempted to make things interesting. However, the Mountaineers continued to stretch their lead to as many as 16. Isaac Caudill poured in 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in the second half as the Mountaineers rolled to a 78-64 win over the Brevard College Tornados.

The Mountaineers will continue their push in conference this Saturday, February 2 as they host the Pfeiffer Falcons at 2:00 PM.
