BC Linksmen Take Title at Bryan College Invitational

Austin Worley (SO/Louisville, KY) shoots 76 to lead the Mountaineers

It had been nearly a month since the Berea College men's golf team was last on the course in a competition.  Based on the scores carded today at the Bryan College Fall Invitational, they have been working to sharpen the games to near razor perfection, as the Blue Crew brought home the title by two strokes over Hiwassee College and three strokes over the hosts at Bear Trace Golf Club in Harrison, TN.

Austin Worley led the way for the Mountaineers carding a 76, which was one stroke off medalist honors.  Sung Min "Kevin" Kim, finished 3rd with a 77, however he will look at the round as one that got away.  Kim was -1 par heading to the 16th tee, when his game took a brief detour.  The remainder of the scores for the Mountaineers included Trevor Humes (JR/Tompkinsville, KY) 84, Ben Piercefield 86, Mike Scott and Derrick Lisby each posted an 87, while Johnny Parrett III carded an 89.

Berea College now moves on to the USCAA National Championships which begins October 12th at the Penn State University Golf Course in State College, PA.
