Golf Completes Bill Sergent Invitational

Sung Min "Kevin" Kim leads Mountaineers in day two of Bill Sergent Fall Invitational.

The leading roles were reversed on the second day of Bill Sergent Invitational Tournament on Friday. Freshman Sung Min "Kevin" Kim led the Berea College Mountaineer's by carding at +3 75 while Thursday's leader, Austin Worley fell behind his teammate carding an 85. Junior golfers Derrick Lisanby, Ben Piercefield and Trevor Humes improved in today's match. Lisanby displayed  the most improvement  going 12 shots lower than yesterday's round, posting a 92. Piercefield improving by two strokes, resulting in a scorecard of 87 and Humes came in with an 88. 

Cody Langre of University of Virginia-Wise and Berea College's Kevin finished tied for 7th place. Lindsey Wilson won the event with Union College as runner-up, and the University of the Cumberlands taking 3rd, while the Mountaineers finished in 11th place. ​

The Blue Crew will have plenty of time to sharpen their game as they won't compete again until September 28th when they travel to Crossville, TN and the Bryan College Fall Invitational.
