Berea Finishes Fourth in Crawfordsville

Crawfordsville, IN- The Berea College Golf team finished fourth at the Wabash College Invitational this past weekend in Crawfordsville, Indiana, with Kevin Kim and Austin Worley both finishing in the top ten of the tournament.

The Mountaineers took to the Crawfordsville Country Club on Saturday on the short, flat course in northwestern Indiana, and ended the day sitting in fourth place in the tournament. Kevin Kim shot a 77 on day one, and Austin Worley shot a 78. The Mountaineers found themselves 9 strokes behind tournament host Wabash College after the first 18 holes.

Day two was slightly more successful for Berea, as Austin Worley shot a 75 and Kevin Kim shot a 70 to allow them each to finish 9th and 4th, respectively, in the Wabash Invitational. The Mountaineers finished 4th overall as a team, only four strokes behind Wabash.

The Berea College linksmen are off to Penn State next weekend, as they will play in the USCAA National Tournament. The Mountaineers ended in 8th place last year in the tournament, and look to improve on last year's finish.
