The Berea men's golf team traveled down to Piedmont, Georgia to play in The Piedmont Fall Invitational. The first day would be the best round so far in the season for the team with a score of 324. The second day would continue to show the inconsistency the young Mountaineers have been dealing with this fall by posting up a score 14 strokes worse with a 338.
The Mountaineers golf team got off to a fast start on the first day. As Peyton Browning would lead the team with a 77. Followed by an 80 by Freshman Evan King, and a 81 by Senior Ryan Blevins. Jeramiah Bolon and Michael Akard would both shoot 86. Freshmen Isaiah Bolon shot 90.
The second day was rougher than the first as the team would post a team score of 338. There were two bright spots on the day as Freshmen Jeremiah Bolon and Senior Ryan Blevins would lead the team with a pair or 79's. Sophomore Peyton Browning shot a 85, while fellow Sophomore Michael Akard shot a 86. The team would be followed with an 88 by Isaiah Bolon, and an 89 by Evan King.
The Golf team will next travel down to Harrison, Ohio for a weekend tournament on October 6th and 7th at the Stateline Shootout.
