Men's Soccer notches 4-1 win over Eureka

Berea, KY - The Mountaineers dominated offensively in a 4-1 Senior Day victory over NCAA DIII's Eureka College.

The first period got off to an even start for both teams would score a goal in the first fifteen minutes. Berea's was scored by Freshman Dakota Massuco at 9:11 while the Red Devil's was scored by Zac Bozarth at 10:41. The Mountaineers Junior Garrison Wagner was next to score on a goal assisted by Dakota Massucco at 20:54. Just over ten minutes later Sophomore Isaac Mendoza would score the last goal of the period at 31:04.
 
The defense was also putting on a show in the first half as they only allowed Eureka to take three shots and sophomore goalie Noah DeHart blocked two of those shots.
 
In the second period it was all Mountaineers as Isaac Mendoza would score his second goal of the game and the only point in the second period. Berea also held up defensively only allowing one shot which was blocked by Sophomore goalie Matthew Graham.
Overall the Mountaineers took 22 shots compared to the Red Devils 4 shots.
 
With the win Berea moves to 1-9-3 overall. The Mountaineers will be back in action Thursday when they travel to Danville to face Centre College at 7:30 PM.
