The Mountaineers notched their 2nd win of the season with a 3-1 victory over NAIA member University of Pikeville.
Berea got things going with a bang as Wesley Saintilord scored a unassisted goal 14 seconds into the game. Pikeville would get into the action at 10:24 on a goal by Hayden McLeod. Mountaineer goalie Noah DeHart would total 2 saves to keep the score 1-1 going into the second.
In the second half it was all Berea. Wesley Saintilnord scored his second goal of the game at 63:28 on an assist from Christopher Malpartida. Garrison Wagner would also put one in for the Mountaineers at 80:12. Berea would also pile on 11 shots to Pikeville's 3 in the second half.
With the win the Mountaineers move to 2-10-3 on the season. Berea will be back in action Sunday as they travel to UC Clermont for a 2PM start.
