Louisville, KY - The Berea men's soccer team traveled to Spalding University Tuesday night. Pedro Herrera, Issac Domenech, Issac Mendoza, and Junior Gyamfi each took several shots, but with no avail against Spalding's goalie Jude Louis, which secured the 6-0 win for the Eagles.

Spalding wasted no time on the offensive end to start the first 45 minutes of play. At the 5:41 minute mark, Spalding earned a free kick that resulted in the first goal of the contest. The defense did their best to hold off the attacking Eagles throughout the rest of the half, but Spalding came through with another goal at 35:40 to close out the half with a 2-0 lead.

The Mountaineers came out strong in the beginning of the second half, with the first three shots, but the Eagles' defense didn't surrender. Spalding relentlessly attacked Berea's defense with another 10 shots during the 45 minutes, which resulted in four more goals to extend their lead and clinch the 6-0 victory.

Goalie Nicholas Knoster started the contest for the Mountaineers and had one save over 26:43 of play. Goalie Clay Sheaffer replaced him and finished with six saves. The Mountaineers' defense also had one team save.
