Rocky Mount, NC – The Berea men's soccer team traveled to Rocky Mount, NC on Saturday for a match-up with conference opponent N.C. Wesleyan. The Mountaineers fell 6-0 the Battling Bishops. Berea goalie Clay Sheaffer finished with seven saves for the Mountaineers, while his counterpart Austin McAdams stopped one.

Wesleyan overpowered Berea throughout the first half with 16 shots compared to the Mountaineers' one. The Battling Bishops scored all six goals during the first half. The first goal came at 18:08 from Aly Cabet and Dominique Giovanni coming up with the assists. Ten minutes later, Joe Brooke made the score 2-0 and Cadribo Godfrey added his own goal at 31:20 minute mark. Lorenzo Cocchia scored less than three minutes later, with a pass from Godfrey then Riccardo Meyer tallied a goal at the 35:40 mark. Matteo Costa closed out the heavy scoring attack with the final goal at the 39:02 minute mark to make the score 6-0 heading into halftime.

In the second half, the Mountaineers pulled their defense to together and kept Wesleyan from adding to their lead. Berea managed to get two more shots, but it wasn't enough to compete with the tough Wesleyan team and the Battling Bishops walked away with the 6-0 shutout win.
