BEREA, KY., -- The Berea College Men's Soccer Team lost Saturday against Greensboro College 7-0. The men struggled to get many shots in, and as a result, Greensboro had a lot of room to take shots and work the ball on the offensive end. Freshman goalkeeper Luis Macias did an exception job with a total of 6 saves for the night.

The Mountaineers got off to a rough start, with Darli Mihindou from The Pride snagging their first goal for the night at the 07:14 minute mark. Jordy Briceno would then go on to score two more goals against The Mountaineers in the first half. The Pride played well offensively during the first half, leaving The Mountaineers no choice but to push back defensively. The Mountaineers were outshot 14-4 in the first half.

Two minutes into the second half, Berea faced two more goals from The Pride again by Darli Mihindou and Jordy Briceno, with Mihindou's goal being the result of a penalty kick. Parker Spesock and Tyler Johnson also scored goals in the second half. The Mountaineers were not able to take any shots, as they played a defensively for the majority of the half. Greensboro attempted 15 shots during the second half, with 4 resulting in goals, 3 were saved by goalie Luis Macias, and 8 were shot wide.

The Mountaineers will be back in action Tuesday at 6:30 against Maryville College.
