BEREA, KY., -- The Berea College Men's Soccer Team lost on the road against Pfeiffer University 7-1. The Men struggled to get any offense going throughout the game until the goal by Sophomore Junior Gyamfi in the 70th minute of the game.

The Mountaineers were ambushed by the Falcons to start the game, giving up 3 goals in the first 20 minutes of the game. The first goal was scored by Fernando Castro in the 1st minute of the game, 2nd goal was scored by Conner Morgan in the 4th minute of the game, and the 3rd goal was scored by Caz Dabrowski in the 20th minute of the game. For the rest of the half, the Mountaineers' defense was able to stymie the Falcon's high-powered offense. The Falcons had 5 shots and the goalkeeper for the Mountaineers, Noah DeHart had one save.

The Mountaineers again started slow in the 2nd half, giving up two goals in the first 15 minutes of the half. The first goal was scored by Conner Morgan, giving him his second goal of the game, and the second goal of the half was scored by Caz Dabrowski, also giving him his second goal of the game. The Mountaineers were finally able to get on the scoreboard with a screamer by Sophomore Junior Gyamfi from 25 yards out. The Falcons were able to add two more goals (Jonathan Quintero 74th minute, Fernando Castero 76th minute), to end the game.

Senior goalkeeper Noah DeHart ended the game with 2 saves.

The Mountaineers will be back in action on Thursday, October 3rd against William Peace at home in the BC Sports Complex. Kick-off is set for 6:30 PM.
