The Berea College Men's soccer team traveled to LaGrange College in Georgia on Sunday, October 13. The mountaineers played tough throughout the match keeping up with the panthers until the closing of the game losing 4-2. The Mountaineers started the game strong with the first goal of the match by Junior Gyamfi and assisted by Joshua Szidik on the right side of the net. Unfortuently, the next four goals were made by the panthers, 2 goals in the 1st half and 2 goals in the 2nd half, one of which being a free-kick, despite the efforts of Berea's goalie Noah DeHeart. Throughout the game, keeper Noah DeHart had a total of 8 saves with the Mountaineers having 12 shots on goal. Towards the end of the game in the 80th minute, Joshua Szidik gained one more point for Berea in a free-kick from just inside midfield concluding the game in a 4-2 close game.

The Mountaineers will be back in action Saturday, October 19 at 3:00 PM against N.C. Wesleyan at Home.
