Berea, KY - The Men's Tennis team took to their home court to take on the Royals of Johnson University. In a very close hard fought match the mountaineers feel short to the Royals 5-4.
In singles play Berea's Zachary White and Ethan Hughes grabbed the win. Berea found themselves down 4-2 going into doubles play. During doubles Zachary White and James Weaver paired up and defeated the Royals team of Jacob Clark and Sun Lili by a core of 8-3. Michael Carpenter and Juan Chavez Casiano teamed up for the win in #3 doubles play. In the end the mountaineers fell short to the Royals by a final score of 5-4.
The Mountaineers will be back in action at home on Sunday, October 16th in a tri-match against Indiana-East University at 9:00am and Maryville College at 1:00pm.
