The Berea College Mountaineers hosted USA South Conference rival Piedmont College at the Top Seed tennis facility in Lexington, KY. This game was moved from the Wilson Evans Tennis Complex due to weather. In the first tennis action for Berea College, the Mountaineers lost 9-0 to the Lions.
In doubles, #1 doubles team of Dakota Massucco and Michael Malpartida played a competitive game against the Lion's #1 doubles team of Jarrett Gray and Roman Webb, losing 8-3. #2 doubles team of Sam Slater and James Weaver and #3 doubles team of Dorian Del Toro and Juan Chavez-Casinao both lost their games 8-1.
In singles, the Mountaineers did not have much luck, losing all of the matches. Dakota Massucco, Sam Slater, and Dorian Del Toro were all able to win a set, while Juan Chavez-Casiano was able to win two sets.
The Mountaineers will be back in action Saturday, March 9th in a match against Covenant College hosted at the Wilson Evans Tennis Complex.
