The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2014 Men's Track and Field Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
A total of 233 men's track and field student-athletes were designated as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes in 2014. To be considered, a student-athlete has to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status.
The two student-athletes from Berea College to earn the accolade were junior Ali Djire from Northcliff, South Africa, and senior Jeffery Johnson from Austin, IN.
Concordia University (NE) posted the highest number of scholar-athletes with 18 individuals on the list. Nebraska Wesleyan University and Olivet Nazarene University (IL) each had 10 student-athletes on the list.
