Strong Showing For Mountaineers At #JennaStrong Fall Classic

Wilmington, OH – The Berea College men's cross country team traveled to Wilmington College to compete in the #JennaStrong Fall Classic. The men ran against almost 400 runners from 38 teams, and 7 different states.  The Mountaineers raced to a 6th place finish averaging 26:20 and a total team time of 2:11:36.

Isaiah Dotson led the way for the Mountaineer's, placing 11th with a personal best time of 25:23. Senior Jeremy Johnson followed shortly after finishing 26th with a time of 25:53. The third runner to cross the finish line for Berea was junior Dylan Watkins who finished in 38th place with a personal best time of 26:10. Following him was freshman Dakota White in 98th place (27:01). The fifth runner to cross the line was Corbin Flege finishing 103th (27:05). Sophomore Kyle Young finished 110th (27:09) and senior Casey Monti finished 131st (27:28).

Other finishers for Berea included Raymond McKinney 160th (27:53), Nathan Smith 162nd (27:54), Landon Bond 219th (28:49), Edwin Silva 238th (29:04), Matthew Sargent 269th (29:48), Jose Gonzales 276th (29:58), and Brandon Yearout 335th (32:05).

Berea will head to the Sand Shark Invitational in Hardeeville, SC on Saturday, October 22nd.  The men's race will start at 9:00am with the women to follow at 9:45am.
