McKenzie Earns All-American Honors

Elsah, IL- Principia College of Illinois hosted this year's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. It was a great day for the Mountaineers as Logan McKenzie was able to finish 27th overall and become Berea College's First NCAA DIII All-American.

On a windy and cold day Mckenzie ran his second fastest race of his career on the hilly Principia course.  His time of 24:49 was good enough to finish 27 place in the field of 279 runners.  The USTFCCCA and NCAA recognize the top 40 runners in the race as All-Americans. Mckenzie was also the 3rd fastest underclassmen in the field.  A year ago he was working as a Volunteer at the race after having to sit out the season due to medical reasons.  Fast forward one year and he is crossing the finish line of the national championships as a NCAA All-American.
