Berea, KY – The 2nd annual Mike and Mary Kay Invitational took place Saturday at the cross country course on Berea's campus. The Mountaineers' men's cross country team took home first place, in the 8k race, with score of 42 points. Covenant College placed second with 66 points and the University of the Cumberlands placed third with 73 points.
Logan McKenzie crossed the finish line with a 26:06 mark to finish first overall and to record his second straight individual victory. Tanner Carson was close behind with a 26:33 finish time for third place, while Sair Salgado placed ninth with a time of 28:02. Other top finishers for the Mountaineers included, Avery Fair (28:24), Tyler Little (28:24), Christian Locke (30:04), and Kyle Young (30:31).
The next meet will be the Greater Louisville Classic, one of the largest meets in the US, on Saturday, September 29th in Louisville, Ky.
