Men Finish 12th in Jenna Strong

Wilmington, OHIO –

A few members of the Berea College men's cross country team traveled to Wilmington College to compete in the #JennaStrong Invitational this Friday.

The team earned 336 points, giving them a 12th place finish out of 33 teams, with an average 8K time of 27:22. This race had over 350 individuals across all divisions.

Finishing first for the Mountaineers was sophomore Sair Salgado in 12th with a time of 25:47. Salgado was the first DIII runner to cross the finish line in this race. Following Salgado, sophomores Avery Fair and Isaiah West finished with times of 26:37 and 27:52, in 41st and 96th. Next for the Mountaineers were freshman Colton Bullington in 123rd place with a time of 28:13, senior Caleb Flege in 131st with a time of 28:21, and sophomore Gabriel Johnson in 168th, with at time of 28:54. Senior Brandon Yearout rounded out for the mountaineers, running a 29:38 and finishing in 215th place.

 

The Mountaineers will be on the road again, with their full team, on Saturday, October 19th, in Oberlin, Ohio to compete in the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble.
