Sewanee, TN- Berea College softball played a double header against Sewanee College this Sunday.
In the top of the first inning Lanham single followed by Mercedes Stanfield single where they stayed to end the inning. In the bottom of the first inning the Tigers scored 0 runs with 1 hit. In the top of the second inning Parsons walked followed by Madison Stanfield's single. Garcia-Maldo walked followed by Howard's double to score Parsons and Stanfield. Setters doubled which scored Howard and Garcia-Maldo. Mercedes Stanfield singled and scored Setters. Parker doubled scoring Mercedes Stanfield which finished out the inning. In the bottom of the second inning the Tigers earned 0 runs on 0 hits. In the top of the third inning Madison Stanfield singled followed by Combs single. The Mountaineers won the first game against the Tigers 14-1 on run rule. Mercedes Stanfield led the Mountaineers with 4 hits followed by Madison Stanfield who had 3 hits. Howard had 4 RBI's and picked up the win in the circle.

The Mountaineers beat the Tigers 21-3 on a run rule. Mercedes Stanfield, Nash Hackney, and Smith all had three hits. Mercedes Stanfield and Smith had 4 RBI's. Smith also picked up the win for the Mountaineers.
The Berea College Mountaineers play Friday at the University of the Cumberlands at 12 with the second game to follow.
