Berea College gets swept by Huntington College

Berea, KY- The Mountaineers hosted USA South Conference Member Huntingdon College.  The Mountaineers were unable to grab a win as the Hawks got the sweep.  Berea lost to Huntington 10-0 during the first game of the series. Hitting was the main factor in the Mountaineers loss. The Hawks outhit the Mountaineers 10 – 3 during this game. The Mountaineers were led in hitting by Fallis, Setters, and Stanfield who had one hit each. Howard started in the circle and Baker finished the game to pick up the loss.

In game two of the double header the Mountaineers lost to the Hawks 16-2. Hitting once again was the key factor in the Mountaineer loss. The Mountaineers only had 4 hits in the game. The Hawks picked up 11 hits and 15 RBI's. Nash, Parker, Setters, and Mattingly each picked up one hit for the Mountaineers. Parker started off pitching and Howard finished the game for the Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers are back in action on Wednesday April 11th when they play Spalding University.
