BEREA, KY-

In the bottom of the first inning the Mountaineers started out great scoring two runs. Audre Lindsey was hit by a pitch and stole second, following that Savannah Fallis tripled scoring Lindsey and gaining an RBI. Nash grounded out scoring Fallis to end the inning. In the bottom of the fifth inning the Mountaineers were on fire, scoring five runs off four hits and were able to take advantage of two of the Eagles errors. In the bottom of the sixth inning Lindsey walked and stole second, Fallis doubled scoring Lindsey to win the game. The Mountaineers won over the Eagles 8-0 in the sixth inning.

The Mountaineers were led in the box by Fallis who had 3 hits. Lindsey, Nash, Hackney, and Stanfield each had one hit for the Mountaineers.

Howard took the win in the Circle.

 

The Mountaineers started out strong again, getting the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Spencer walked followed by Lindsey who laid down a SAC bunt which advanced Spencer. Fallis doubled which scored Spencer. In the top of the second inning the Eagles were able to add one run off three hits. The Mountaineers were on fire in the bottom of the third inning scoring five runs on six hits. Hackney and Fallis doubled in this inning as well as Nash, Hubbard, Howard, and Stanfield all had singles. During the bottom of the fourth inning Nash homered getting one RBI and the Mountaineers scored two. In the bottom of the fifth inning the Mountaineers were able to add one run to win the game. Howard walked and advanced to second on a passed ball. Miller grounded out which advanced Howard. Hackney singled to score Howard to end the game. The Mountaineers beat the Eagles 9-1 in the fifth inning.

The Mountaineers were led by Fallis, Nash, and Hackney who each had two hits.

Winchester took the win in the pitcher's circle.

 

The Mountaineers are back in action Saturday, March 30th when they take on conference opponent Huntingdon at Montgomery, AL.
