Women's Basketball Wins Third In A Row, 85-63 Over Wilberforce

Coach Trent Milby was not happy with the way his team played last night versus Indiana-Kokomo.  Then he had to rally his charges for a trip to the Dayton, Ohio area to take on the Wilberforce University Bulldogs with minimum rest.  What rest they had and the tweaks Milby made a big impact as the Mountaineers ran away with an 85-63 win.

Adriana Williams was unstoppable.  First she led the team in steals with eight; converting many of those for easy baskets on her way a season high 31 points.  BC's leader of the band, Johnesha Warren, was right behind her with 26 points and seven rebounds.  Anna Loveless led the team in rebounding with eight; while Alexus Calhoun also pulled down seven rebounds.

Overall the #9 Mountaineers (12-8) shot 30 of 56 from the field today, hopefully moving themselves off the USCAA National Championships bubble today, as the 6th ranked, St. Mary of the Woods College lost to these same Bulldogs by 21 points on February 5th.

The Mountaineers return to the court on Friday, February 13 for a 7:00 pm match-up with Kentucky Christian University.  That game will be the Mountaineers' Senior Night as the program honors its two seniors, Katelyn Butler and Johnesha Warren.
