Women's Basketball Wins Homecoming Game Against Brevard

Berea, KY- The women's basketball team defeated future USA South member Brevard College 77-50 on Homecoming night in the Seabury Center. 
 
Berea held a two point lead after the first, 17-15, and stretched the lead into four, 37-33 going into the half. The Mountaineers showed hustle grabbing boards as they out rebounded Brevard 41 to 25 in the contest.
 
Berea pulled away in the third to take a 14 point lead, 58-44, helped by shooting 81.8% for free throws in the quarter. The Mountaineers would hold onto the lead and come away with a 68-54 victory in front of a large Homecoming crowd. Adriana Williams led the way for Berea, finishing the game with 25 points. For the second straight game Nakeisha Greene controlled the boards pulling in 6 rebounds.
 
The team returns to action on Tuesday, November 21st when they head to Earlham for a 5:00pm contest. The team will be back to the Seabury Center on Monday, December 4th when they welcome Asbury University to the Roland Wierwille Court at 6:00 PM.
