Berea Drops Nailbiter To Asbury

Berea, KY- The women's basketball team welcomed Asbury University to the Seabury Center on December 4, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. for their second home game this season.  Berea gained a lead in the first half but in the end fell to the Eagles with a final score of 78 -82.  This marks their 2nd loss this season and their record for the season is now 4-2.

At half time Berea led Asbury College 48-31. Kiley Barnard led the first half with 17 points. Bri Lanham also added 9 points 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the first half as well.  Berea shot 47 percent from the field and committed 10 turnovers in the first half.

The Mountaineers gave away their lead in the second half shooting 38 percent in free-throws.  Kiley Barnard led the Mountaineers with 23 points and 3 rebounds. Bri Lanham also led with 18 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists.

The women are back in action tomorrow December 5th where they will be facing Sewanee at 7:00 at home.
