Mountaineers Rebound With Win Against Tigers

Berea, KY- The women's basketball team welcomed Sewanee University to the Seabury Center on December 5, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. for their third home game this season.  Berea gained a lead in the first half and carried that lead over into the second half beating the Tigers with a final score of 76-63. This win brought the Mountaineers record to 5-2 this season.

At half time Berea led Sewanee 35-30. Bri Lanham led the first half with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Adriana Williams also put up 8 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Berea shot 48 percent from the field and committed 8 turnovers in the first half.

The Mountaineers maintained their lead in the second half shooting 47 percent in free-throws.  Adriana Williams led the Mountaineers with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bri Lanham also led with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists.

The women will be travelling to Kentucky Christian University this Friday December 8th where they will take on the Knights at 6:00 P.M.
