After a tough loss the day before, The Lady Mountaineers continued their winning ways against in-conference rival Maryville College. Berea College bounced back in a big way, improving their shooting to 35.7% from the field and 33.3% beyond the arc. The Lady Mountaineers also added 50 rebounds and 16 points off turnovers.

The Lady Mountaineers started the game blazing fast, outscoring the Scots 39-17 in the first half. The Mountaineers were led by Junior Briana Lanham who scored a double-double in the first half, with 16 points and 12 rebounds. On top of this, the Lady Mountaineers stifled the Scots offense, limiting them to 18.5% from the field.

The Scots made a charge in the second half, outscoring the Lady Mountaineers 39-24, however, The Scots could not chase down the Lady Mountaineers, as they eventually lost 63-56. Senior Kiley Barnard led the Lady Mountaineers in this half with 8 points. Freshmen Bailee Vanover ended the game with 21 points and 5 rebounds.

Junior Briana Lanham notched her 1000th point of her colligate career during the game.

The Lady Mountaineers will back in action Saturday January 19th at home against Wesleyan College (GA). Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00.
