Recap:

The Lady Mountaineers added another win to their record today after taking on Wesleyan and finishing with a score of 101-12. This was the second time this season that Berea finished with over 100 points. Briana Lanham was recognized for scoring her 1000th point, while Coach Milby was recognized for his 100th win as a Mountaineer.

The Mountaineers started off strong in the first quarter, Berea took a 10-point lead before Wesleyan broke their streak with a free throw. Berea still maintained their lead, and finished the quarter with a score of 6-29.

The second quarter proved to be successful for the Mountaineers, as they held the wolves off for the entire quarter, only allowing them to gain two points while they gained 26. Bailee Vanover was the top scorer in this quarter, adding 6 to the board. Bethanie Williams also added 5 points.

The third quarter went much like the first, with the Mountaineers continuing to add points to the scoreboard. Isis Hill took the lead by adding 6, while the team as a whole added 24. Nakeisha Greene also got 5 rebounds, 3 of them being offensive, and 2 defensive.

In the final quarter, Leah Parker and Isis Hill each added 6 to the score, while the team overall added 22. Berea finished with a total of 101 points, and Wesleyan with 12 points. Overall, Bailee Vanover was the lead scorer today with 16 points. Isis Hill was not far behind with 14 points. Destanie Love (11 points, 19 rebounds) and Bethanie Williams (12 points, 10 rebounds) both had double-doubles today. Briana Lanham had 10 assists and 4 steals.

The Mountaineers will be back in action at home on Sunday, January 20th at 2:00pm where they will take on Agnes Scott.
