Women's soccer blanks Eureka 8-0 on Senior day

The Mountaineers showed complete and utter dominance in shutting out NCAA DIII's Eureka College 8-0 on Senior Day.

The Mountaineers were on fire offensively in the first half as they scored 5 goals. Senior Jacquie Zimmerman scored early and often, tallying two goals in the first half on at 13:59 on the assist from Sierra Massuco and one at 26:42. Senior Stevie Riedley got in on the action in the first with an unassisted goal of her own at 24:21. Sophomore Rebecca Schmidt would end the period on a high note scoring two goals in less than 10 minutes at 35:00 and 44:38, respectively. 

The second period showed the same dominance from Berea as they scored three more goals. Sophomore Sohara Perez opened up the scoring with a goal at 62:07. Jacquie Zimmerman completed the hat trick with another goal at 70:39. Senior Kayla Guffey scored the last goal of the game at 83:27.

Berea was also strong offensively as they held the Red Devils to just one shot in the entire game.

With the win the Mountaineers move to 4-9-1. Berea will be back in action Tuesday at Johnson University at 7:00 PM.
