Zimmerman Nets Hat Trick in 8-0 Rout of Eureka

Berea, KY - The Mountaineers showed complete dominance in shutting out NCAA DIII's Eureka College 8-0 on Senior Day.  

The Mountaineers were on fire offensively in the first half as they scored 5 goals. Senior Jacquie Zimmerman scored early and often, tallying two goals in the first half on at 13:59 on the assist from Sierra Massuco and one at 26:42. Senior Stevie Riedley got in on the action in the first with an unassisted goal of her own at 24:21. Sophomore Rebecca Schmidt would end the period on a high note scoring two goals in less than 10 minutes at 35:00 and 44:38, respectively.  The Mountaineers headed into the half with a 5-0 lead over the Red Devils.  
The second period showed the same dominance from Berea as they scored three more goals. sophomore Sohara Perez opened up the scoring with a goal at 62:07. Jacquie Zimmerman completed the hat trick with another goal at 70:39. Senior Kayla Guffey scored the last goal of the game at 83:27.
 
Berea's defense was strong as well as they held the Red Devils to just one shot in the entire game.  The Mountaineers offense took 39 shots during the game compared to Eureka's 1.  
 
With the win the Mountaineers move to 4-9-1. Berea will hit the road to take on Johnson University on October 18th at 7:00 PM.
