LaGrange, GA- Berea women's soccer team traveled on Saturday, October 12 to compete against LaGrange College for a chance at a conference win. Both teams competed well, but the Mountaineers fell short versus the Panthers and lost 2-1.

In the first half, Berea started out strong against their opponents. They kept the ball on the Panthers' half. However at the 14:20 minute mark, LaGrange's Dynasty Burchett scored the first goal for her team. Afterwards, the Mountaineers picked it up and prevented anything further from the Panthers. Berea got a lot of shots off, but none of those opportunities earned them a goal. The half came to an end with Lagrange in the lead 1-0.

In the second half the Mountaineers came out strong, ready and eager to get a goal back against their opponents. Berea took advantage of every opportunity that they were given, but were unable to execute. However, at the 78:23 minute mark, Sierra Massucco tied up the game for Berea with a beautiful goal off of a free kick. Now even with the Panthers, the Mountaineers pushed hard to take the lead. They tried over and over taking the ball to the goal, but were not able to gain another. At the 86:22 minute mark, LaGrange's Sydney Dailey sneaked a goal against Berea with an assist from Christina Shanahan. The Mountaineers tried their best to tie up the game once more, but fell a little short. The game ended in a conference win for LaGrange 2-1.

Berea's Jade Fulkerson had 10 saves, and LaGrange's Emma Smith had 13.
