Mountaineers fall at home 6-3 to former KIAC Rival Asbury University.
Former KIAC rival, the Asbury University Eagles pulled out a strong win against Berea College 6-3 at the Wilson Evans Tennis Complex tonight. Taylor Moyers was Berea's only singles match winner at #1 singles, defeating her opponent in a nail bitting tie-breaker match 2-6, 7-5 (10-8).
With the five singles victories, Asbury clinched the match before the first service toss of the doubles began. Nonetheless, Berea's doubles teams played well with Moyers and Trinity Goodman pulling off an exciting win, 8-4 at #1 doubles and Christine Crawford and Miranda Fawley were winners (8-4) at #2 doubles.
Women's Tennis will return to action this Saturday, October 4 at 11:00 AM vs. Carlow University at the Evans Tennis Complex.
