Women's Tennis Swept at Hanover
A day after handily defeating NCAA Division III Thomas Moore College, the Berea College women's tennis team ran into a whole other level of DIII tennis in the form of Hanover College.  Hanover the Heartland Conference's 2013 Regular Season Champions were more than the Mountaineers could handle and poor hosts as they handed the Blue Crew a 9-0 sweep.

In doubles action:  first doubles - Taylor Moyers (SO/Middlesboro, KY) and Kristol Whitt (JR/Blanchester, OH) lost 8-4, second Doubles - Christine Crawford (JR/Louisville, KY) and Miranda Fawley (SR/Blanchester, OH) lost 8-2, while at third Doubles - Katie Fawley (JR/Blanchester, OH) and Ashley Logan (JR/Louisa, VA) lost 8-1.

In singles action:  Moyers had the match of the day at 1st singles, where she lost the first set 4-6, took set two 7-5, before dropping the tie-breaker 10-1.  2nd Singles - Crawford lost 6-2, 6-1; 3rd Singles - Whitt lost 6-1, 6-0; 4th Singles - Miranda Fawley lost 6-2, 6-0; 5th Singles - Katie Fawley lost 6-2, 6-3; and at 6th Singles - Logan lost 6-0, 6-0.

The women's tennis team will be back in action on Wednesday as they play host to former KIAC rival Asbury University at 5:00 pm at the Wilson Evans Tennis Complex.
