Women's Tennis Dominates Thomas Moore

The Berea College women's tennis team broke into the winner's circle today on the road at Thomas Moore College.  The Mountaineers  captured seven of the available nine points.

In doubles action - Berea swept all three points, with Taylor Moyers (SO/Middlesboro, KY) and Kristol Whitt (JR/Blanchester, OH) winning 8-5 at number 1 and Christine Crawford (JR/Louisville, KY) and Miranda Fawley (SR/Blanchester, OH) winning 8-4 at number 2.  In the match of the day, Katie Fawley (JR/Blanchester, OH) and Ashley Logan (JR/Louisa, VA) went overtime to win 9-7.

In singles action - Moyers cruised 6-1, 6-3 at number 1, Crawford won in a tie-breaker 7-5, 1-6 (10-1) at number 2, Whitt won in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 at number 3, and Katie Fawley won in the five slot 7-5, 6-1 to secure the victory for the Mountaineers.

The ladies will be back in action tomorrow, when they cross river and take on Hanover College at noon.
