Huntingdon, AL/LaGrange, GA- The women's tennis team traveled south to play two USA South Conference matches against Huntingdon and LaGrange. Berea fell short in both matches losing 9-0 both times.
The first match was against Huntington and in double plays the team of Alicia Bedolla and Erin Goodpaster lost 8-0. Jaden Johnson and Marranee Conge had the same outcome losing 8-0 to the Huntington team. The team of Agnes Dotse and Ashley Ferrell scored two but lost 8-2 in the final score. The Mountaineers did not have any luck in singles play losing each match 6-0.
Berea traveled to LaGrange to take on the Panthers the next day. The Mountaineers played much better but in the end fell to Lagrange 9-0.
In double play Alicia Bedolla and Erin Goodpaster fell to Lagrange 8-2 while Agnes Dotse and Ashley Ferrell lost in double 8-1. Jaden Johnson and Marranee Conge played a hard fought match and lost a close one 8-3.
Jaden Johnson and Alicia Bedolla lost 6-1 to their singles opponents and Agnes Dotse lost 6-2. Goodpaster, Ferrell and Conge lost their singles matches 6-0.
Berea will be back in action at home on Tuesday, March 27th taking on the Scots of Maryville College.
