Eight Women’s Track and Field Members Named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2014 Women's Track and Field Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

A total of 337 women's track and field student-athletes achieved this status in 2014. To be considered as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete has to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status.

The eight Berea College women's track and field team members to be named to the list are six seniors: Kimberly Bihl from Cold Springs, KY; Savanna Flesch, from Youngstown, OH; Megan Holsey, from Waynesville, NC; Cynthia Kinnamont, from Oroville, CA; Kaitlynne Smith (Kokomo, IN); and Sandra Tombe, a native of Juba, South Sudan; and two juniors: Ami Callow of Van Wert, OH, and Courtney Mollet from Thelma, KY.

Concordia University (NE) led all schools with 20 individuals on the list. Doane College (NE) had the next highest number of scholar-athletes at 17 and Oklahoma Baptist University sits third with 15.
