Berea Loses Home Opener to Franklin

Berea Ky. – The Berea College women's volleyball team hosted their first home game of the season on Tuesday against Franklin College in the main arena of the Seabury Center.

The Mountaineers fought hard against Franklin for three sets, despite ultimately falling short of a win. Scores for the three sets were 25-18, 25-20, and 25-12.

The Mountaineers stayed close behind Franklin in the first two sets before falling further behind in the third. Sophomores Carolina Robles led them with 8 digs and 8 kills during the match, and Allana Knowles with 8 kills and 7 digs. Senior Bailie Parker also had 14 digs. Overall, Berea had a higher overall attempt of attacks, proving that they have a resilient nature that will pull them through to the next match for a comeback. 

The Mountaineers are now 2-5 in their season and will be back in action at home on Thursday, September 12th at 7:00 in the main arena of the Seabury Center.
