LaGrange, GA. – The Berea women's volleyball team traveled to conference opponent LaGrange, as they hosted a tri-match featuring Berea and Huntingdon colleges'. Berea would split the games by falling to the Panthers and defeating the Huntingdon Hawks.

The Mountaineers started the day against the LaGrange Panthers. Berea would drop the match in 4 sets, giving the ladies their third conference loss. The Mountaineers traded blows in the first two sets, splitting the affair with the panthers. The Panthers rallied to win the next two sets and put away the Mountaineers with a (25-12), final set victory.

After dropping the match to the Panthers, the Mountaineers got revenge on the Hawks. Again, the first two sets ended split. The two split the next two sets as well, forcing the match to a determining game 5. Berea showed some spark in the thick of the set, declaring they would not be defeated. Berea beat Huntingdon, (16-14), and improved their conference record to over .500. The heart and determination proved to be the difference, and can be the difference for the Mountaineers down the final stretch of the season.

The tri-match split improves Berea's record to 8 wins and 11 losses. Berea will be back in action in the coming week, travelling to in-state opponent Midway, Tuesday at 7:00.
