MIDWAY, KY., --

The (9-11) Berea College Mountaineers Team won Tuesday at Midway (9-11). The Women's Volleyball Team played an outstanding match and got a big win on the road. The Berea College Mountaineers were able to dominant the Midway Eagles in the sets. Caroline Robles had an impressive game with a high of 20 kills. It was great to have Allana Knowles back in the lineup as she made her presence felt with 12 kills. The Mountaineers won the first set 25-21, then won the second set 25-19, then lost the third set 16-25, but won the last set to seal the game 25-16 to make it a 3-1 game. The Mountaineers had a total of 42 kills and the Eagles had a total of 35 kills. Berea scored 57 total points as opposed to Midway 53 points in the match. This was a big win for the Mountaineers on the road after losing to Midway earlier this year at home. This win should give them momentum to go on the road and get another win this weekend when they battle conference opponents again.

The Mountaineers will have two matches Saturday October 19th one at 12:00 PM against Brevard and against Piedmont College at 2:00 PM at Maryville College (Tennessee).
